Another 5 tips from Amy
Hinderer - General Counsel, Sr. VP Administration
- Visit a competitor's store and see what they
have that you like or when traveling to a new city, visit the retailers there to pick up ideas you want to import to your store.
- Whenever you hear a customer compliment one of
your employees, write it down and post the compliments in the break room.
- Take a critical look at the bathroom in your
store. Can you change it to make it more attractive while also
promoting your products or services? Don't let the only sign be
"All employees must wash their hands before returning to work."
- For your most popular selling items, make a
short list of accessories or add ons that every employee should know to
recommend to the customer buying that item.
- Help customers carrying machines in or out of your store to and from their cars. It's a great way to distinguish yourself from the mass merchant.
Keep those tips coming in, we have received some others and will continue to keep posting.
